KNOW JESUS
Who is Jesus?
All of us love to hear Good news. Well Jesus is the Good news! You may have a number of questions in
your mind of who God is and if he exists at all…? Even if he does exist what does that mean to me?
The Bible has the answer to who Jesus is. The millions of followers of Jesus since the 1st century AD when
he was born in this world as a human being will testify to who Jesus is….
Billy Graham a world-renowned Christian evangelist says this about Jesus, “Jesus was not a white man; He
was not a black man. He came from that part of the world that touches Africa and Asia and Europe.
Christianity is not a white man’s religion and don’t let anybody ever tell you that it’s white or black. Christ
belongs to all people; He belongs to the whole world.”
The truth is He is God and He came down to the earth to die on our behalf for our sins. There is no
forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood and Jesus paid it once and for all with his life.
That is why Jesus is unique. He is God who came in human flesh to the world. His name has a lot of
meanings. He is the Saviour, the Counselor, the deliverer, the miracle worker, the mighty God and full of
compassion on his children. Yet, all you need to do to go to Him is to call on his name. He knows what we
are going through and cares about us. The Bible rightly refers to Him as “Immanuel”, God with us.
Jesus Cares!
So, does Jesus care about you? Yes, He does!
How do we know this? Often, we disqualify ourselves from God’s love because of our history, our failures
and shortcomings. Sin has separated us from God and we can never make up for our sin by self-
improvement or good works. So how can we accept what we have not earned?
The Bible says that nothing in all of creation can separate us from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus our
Lord. And to accept God’s love is to trust His patient, forgiving and gracious stance towards us. Only He has
the power to free us from guilt, shame and condemnation to give us a life of wholeness.
All we have to do is turn to Him.
